What are the best ingredients for a "dry rub" or pre-seasoning in preparing to make BBQ ribs?

Dave C's suggestion is very similar to a rub I use at 2 establishments I run. Onion powder, granulated garlic, cumin, chili powder, a tiny touch of cinnamon, salt, brown sugar, and the mystery ingredient...ground coffee. Hope this helps.
