Protein won't hurt you. I eat a protein 3 times a day (im a girl and a vegetarian). It helps with energy but works it's best if you eat a carb with it. Overall, protein is good for you. I eat Greek yogurt and soybeans all the time but a tofu for dinner considering i dont eat meat. It's recommended that you eat protein with every meal to keep you going through out the day. Its a healthy choice :)
